The historic race ‘Around the Houses’
The Albany Classic “Around the Houses” is run through the heart of Albany’s CBD, overlooking the ANZAC Peace Park and Princess Royal Harbour. This spectacle of historic motor sport presents a wide variety of cars from vintage wire wheels, post-vintage and classics as well as open wheel racers and big cube muscle cars. This event is organised locally by the Albany Classic Motorsport Club with support from other local and Perth motorsport clubs.

The first race
The Albany Classic Motor Event is a re-enactment of this very first race – the Albany Tourist Trophy.

1957
Mt Clarence Hill Climb
Before the Sunday event, head to Mt Clarence to watch a historic re-enactment Hill Climb on Saturday, which recalls the Australian Hill Climb Championship held there in 1957.

The cars dont look a day older, but we celebrate 80 years of racing in Albany

15,000 People
It’s hard to keep a track of this many poeple moving in and out of the event but we believe we hit the big time. Increasing to an estimated 15,000 attendants. That’s 50% more than we hoped for.

The Albany Classic has unfortunately been cancelled due to COVID-19 and social gathering restrictions now in place.
